SMS Terms & Conditions

Cog Technology operates an SMS text messaging program that sends operational alerts to on-call staff at Cog Technology partner organizations, including physicians on medical office on-call rotations, appointment coordinators, technical support staff, and other authorized personnel. These Terms describe how the program works, how you consent to receive messages, and how to opt out.

Cog Technology On-Call Staff Alerts.

Message Content

You may receive messages including:

On-call assignments and schedule changes
Patient escalation alerts (for physician on-call staff at partner medical offices)
Appointment reminders
Service notifications
Project updates
Technical support communications
Account and customer service communications

How to Opt In

There are two ways to opt in to the Cog Technology On-Call Staff Alerts SMS program:

1. Verbal opt-in. When you are added to an on-call rotation at a Cog Technology partner site, an authorized office representative will read you the following verbatim opt-in script and record your consent:

“Cog Technology sends recurring SMS alerts about on-call assignments and urgent operational matters. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Full terms are available at https://cogtechnology.net/terms and the Privacy Policy is available at https://cogtechnology.net/privacy-policy. Do you consent to receive these text messages at your mobile number?”

You opt in by verbally answering “yes.” The office logs your name, mobile number, consent date, and the representative who took the consent.

2. Keyword opt-in. You may also opt in by texting the keyword START to +1 (346) 271-7394. On receipt of your START message, the system will reply with this auto-response confirming your enrollment:

“Cog Technology: You are opted in to on-call SMS alerts. Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Terms: https://cogtechnology.net/terms Privacy: https://cogtechnology.net/privacy-policy”

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by role and shift. For physician on-call staff, typical volume is zero to five messages per shift, with occasional bursts during high-volume nights or weekends. For non-clinical staff, frequency is lower.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge for text messages sent or received; check your service plan for details.

How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message to receive help. You may also contact us at [email protected] or (281) 814-5438.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts from the program. To rejoin later, text START again.

Consent Is Voluntary

Your consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any products or services from Cog Technology or its partner organizations.

Privacy

Your information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy. In particular, no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
